Lots of convincing detail about the rigors of mountain climbing and the political situation in Tibet add to the realism in this tale of a boy testing himself against the elements, struggling with his relationship with his father, and making difficult moral decisions.
I picked the first review of my book from the cathlick Review because it was what i felt while reading the book i think the the whole point of the story is that peak learns whats really is important in life witch is family and i think this review is a good way of showing that he does over come new challenges in this book and it brings out the true message that it has.
I chose this quote because those two words "your under arrest" changerd peak's whole life and turned it upside down because after he got caught climbing the skyscraper they put him in jail and then they found out out about all the other one's he climbed so his dad had to come and get him to leave NYC and his dad decided to go climb mount. Everest with his son witch turns out to be the whole plot of the story.
This next qoute from the book probably confused you but its very important in the book sun jo is the boy who is going to clomb mount. everest with Peak and it turns out sun jo is not really supposed to be there so Peaks father sayu to peak and sun jo sorry boys your not going to the top but then it turns out they are and they just have to go up a diffrent way so the chinese don't know about there summit atampt so Peak's dad had to make sure the chinese had no idea so it takes this book on a new path.
I chose that quote from the book because to me i think it tied the whol book together with the blue mountain peak to tie to the pole because in the begening of the story it talks about how peak when he clmbed things he spraypainted the symbol on the top of things he climbed such as the skyscrapers he climbed so to me i think it pulled the whole story together.
I chose this quote because to me i got the feeling of how the book was for me because in the book I felt like that who knows what going to happen next and i finished the book about two weeks before anyonee else even thought about it and i did because i liked it it made me want to read witch i had not wanted to do all summer and this qoute i think shows my feelings.
This book I think has another message than the one I thought and that i liked better but i can deffinately see how this message is brought out from the book because in the book it always talks about how you have to be cocky and selfish to get to the top of mountains and i think story brings out that its not always good to be selfish but sometimes you have to and i think the other says that sometimes you just need to know that Being selfish may get you places in life but its not going to make you friends.
I put this review in here because i thought it was gorable to me it looked like he was slaming the auther with not giving anything of what he was going for in this review i mean yes the book was based of that it the tibet boorder but in the long run the message has nothing to do with it because in the end he let's sun Jo go to the top with out him because of sun jo family needs money and this will get them money.
I chose this video because its about a kid who climbs mount everest with his father witch sounds exactly like the book I read Peak this boy is also very the way i thought that peak would be like if he lived with his father his whole life and this video seems like it could be Peak.
I chose this next video because it shows how a man climbs skyscrapers and then he gets taken away by the police. This sounds a lot to me like peak because he ends up getting caught.
